Living on the Edge

Living on the edge of Washington Terrace has been something we have loved for several reasons:
The beautiful view
The perfect snow tubing hill
The best seat in the house for the Fireworks
and
Watching the planes at Hill Air Force Base

This weekend was the Thunderbird Show.  It was rainy and cold but we took a few minutes and stepped out our back door to get a glimps of those beautiful airplanes and I mean beautiful

It was a spectacular event.  The planes are breath taking.

We really do have a perfect view!

The show is over, they are coming in to land.  I love living by Hill Air Force Base.
I love the sound of the jets and watching them right from my backyard.
God Bless America!

A gift for my daughters on Mother's Day

The last couple of years I have given my daughters a special gift from me on Mother's Day.  I call it "My Favorite Things".  Things I love and I share them with my daughters.

This year they got "Everything Good".  A good looking plant to put in their yards, good working spray for those hard to iron clothes and a small ice cream scoop for that good tasting cookie dough that was attached.  Yum!  I also included a book "To My Daughter"  with all those things that bring you happiness quoted and written down about how special each daughter is.

Then we had a BBQ and just hung out.  It was a beautiful day and everyone enjoyed being outside.
Thank you, it was a great day!

Boys Birthdays

May is birthday month for Tiffany and Rob's boys.  It makes for a busy month with everything else but soooo much fun.  Landen turned 4 years old on May 3rd.  We celebrated May 4th in their backyard.

Landen's Birthday theme was Basketball.  Tiffany did a great job making his birthday special and perfect.  We had basketball cupcakes and Landen's favoite, Orange or Rootbeer Floats.  Yummy!

Blowing out the candles is always a favorite for kids.  Landen is no exception.  It is just fun!

Great Grandma Toponce gave Landen money.  All one dollar bills.  Pay Dirt for a little guy!

May 24th was Carter birthday.  He turned 2 years old.  A lot has happened in his little life in those two years.  He is a trooper and just plain full of it.  He sure keeps everyone going and going and going, just like the energizer bunny.

Carter didn't get at first that it was his birthday this time and it was his presents.  He needed a little help getting started on Grandma Green's Birthday Present.

He could hardly wait to eat that birthday cake.  Mom had been working on it all day and it was sooooo tempting.  Yum!  I Love Cake!

It was a way cool cake too!  Tiffany has found some fun new and yummy ideas.  This was great!

We're Graduating Yeah!

It's that graduating time of year and we have three very important ones!

First, Rob graduated from WSU with his Bachelors in Nursing!  Yeah!  We are so proud of him and his family.  A bachelors in nursing is a rediculously long road with no increase in pay but a gateway to more opportunities.

Congratulations to the Green Family!

Braden graduate from USU on May 5th with his Bachelors of Science.  Wow it is fantastic!  Way to go Braden!

We are so proud of you!

Now on to the next big adventure, HERE WE COME!

And last but definately not least,

Landen graduated from his first year at Miss Julie's Preschool.  He has LOVED preschool!

This is Landen's little class.  His best friend is in blue right next to him.

Yes! Miss Julie I did it.  High Five!  Way to go Landen!
