Dirt, Boys and Train Station

Labor Day was the perfect day for a trip with the boys to the Train Station.  To see the "Old" Trains as Landen would put it.  They are much more interesting than the loud, big new one which we recently road for the very first time.

Cuz . . . you can climb on them . . .

Walk in between them . . .

Look at all the COOL parts . . .

Put rocks in small places . . .

And get GREAT Candid shots!

Look mom . . . sitting on the Train!

Standing on the Choo Choo!

Loving hanging out with the Trains!

And . . . get a great picture of Mom and Dad . . .

Once again we just couldn't do anything without it including water . . .
Water just makes everything so much more fun! Especially on a HOT day!

Having Fun in LOGAN

We made a few fun trips to Logan this summer to see Michelle and Braden.  Well, some were fun and some were work.  They were all great trips.  Guess who moved?

Braden and Michelle moved out of Married Student Housing and into a Town Home.  We call it a Big Girl Place.  Moving on . . . moving from the student life (which has been the last 6 years) to the grown up life.   It was alittle scary but well worth the move! They LOVE their new place.  Congrats Braden and Michelle!

We took a trip with Tiffany and the boys up to the Logan Sidewalk Sale.  It is along Main Street and is tons of fun.  The bookstore was a great stop for everyone.  We found these awesome laser guns for the boys there.  We just had to promise their mom we would keep them at our house.

The guns made really cool noises and had super cool colors.  Everywhere we went on Main Street people were asking us where we got them.  While the girls were shopping at the clothing store the clerk had the boys getting the "bad guys".  That ended up being the mannequins, ha ha.  The boys had a riot and we got to shop!

CRUISE IN

It was our first year going to this event . . . We will be going back!  People line Main Street with chairs and blankets days before this event.  Then . . . you sit, eat and enjoy as you watch the coolest cars Cruise Main Street.

There is nothing like it!  The cars are awesome!

They go up and down, up and down.  So if you missed it the first time . . . you get several more chances.

Way cool!  The cars range from collectible Vintage like these to Hot Rods and the coolest European Sports Cars.  I would highly suggest a trip to Logan for this event!

Summer Time and Little Boys with Water

This summer has been alot of play, play and more play.  Alot of that play involved water!  The boys, the parents and the grandma had alot of fun this summer playing in the water.

The summer started out with Garret absolutely hating swimming.  But we won him over!  Swimming in the big pools was a ton of fun! And we did it alot.

Playing in the backyard pool at Kristen's was just as fun! We don't need some stinking big pool!

Everyone enjoys a little cooling off.  Even Garret and his mommy!

Grandpa is enjoying watching and having a little McNugget to go along with it, YUM!

No need to jump right in when all you need is a LITTLE cooling off, ha ha

The pool was needing a little fill up so Carter was making sure a little cup full at a time would do the trick.  Actually is was just a great way to keep him busy :-)

Park City FUN

Toponce Family Park City FUN!  This is our second annual Toponce Family Park City Trip.  We LOVE IT!  Better known as the Condo in Park City.  It is great!  Right at the resort!  And tonz of FUN!  Thanks everyone for a great time . . . Here are highlights of some of the great things we did!

What is more fun for a bunch of little boys than swimming?  And Swimming some more! And Swimming!

Unless you are Garret and it is your first time swimming in a swimming pool :-(  Not so much fun for a little guy.

But his older cousins have it down.  Landen was having fun all over the place.  When summer is just beginning, there really isn't any thing that is more fun than water and family.

Especially with the whole family there.  Carter was completely having a riot!

During the down time (which there was not much of) we did some fun crafts.  Landen loves crafting and glueing.  Probably more so the glueing.  The boys made their own place mats and here we are making a giant sunflower.

Garret still recooperating after swimming.  It really was NOT his favorite thing to do at the time.

Now climbing up the stairs . . . that was something all small boys can enjoy!  Even those just learning :-)

Grandma had a Birthday while we were condoing.  Here I have lots of help with ALL the candles.  It was a treat to share my birthday with the whole family together.

Grandpa's lap was the place to be each morning - Wow grandpa, you are loved by three sweet boys!

What would a Park City family fun trip be without doing the Alpine Slide and Coaster?  In June the lines are short and the wait near nothing. Woo Hoo!  Perfect Timing!

Riding the lift was a little tense for Tiffany.  She was sure one of her boys was going to be going over the edge.  But no worries . . . she had the death grip on them!  They were not going anywhere!

Ahhh Michelle, Braden was way a head of you.  You just need to let it fly!  You go Girl!

Take a lesson from Kristen . . . She was a little OUT OF CONTROL!

The two Green Boys were safe and sound riding with mom and dad :-)  It was another story on the coaster . . . Braden just let it rip with Landen riding with him.  If you ask Landen, it was the best ride ever.  I am sure we will be doing it again when we go next summer.

Garret Turns One

Garret turned one year old on June 15th.  Wow!  He is a fun, determined, momma's boy!  He is absolutely adorable!

It was great weather for an outside Birthday Party and everyone showed up!  I am not sure who enjoyed seeing the new presents more . . . Garret or his cousins, ha ha.

Garret loves watching his dad work in the yard mowing and trimming (doing a little cutting down too).  Now he has his own lawn mower.  To bad it is just a toy and will be no help to his dad.

Look dad . . . I know what this is.  I can help you put my new wagon together, I think.

But . . . DO NOT ask me to ride in my new wagon without my mommy!  (Momma's Boy!)

Not so fond of the whole Birthday Cake thing.  Way TOO messy! Maybe next year :-)

Living on the Edge

Living on the edge of Washington Terrace has been something we have loved for several reasons:
The beautiful view
The perfect snow tubing hill
The best seat in the house for the Fireworks
and
Watching the planes at Hill Air Force Base

This weekend was the Thunderbird Show.  It was rainy and cold but we took a few minutes and stepped out our back door to get a glimps of those beautiful airplanes and I mean beautiful

It was a spectacular event.  The planes are breath taking.

We really do have a perfect view!

The show is over, they are coming in to land.  I love living by Hill Air Force Base.
I love the sound of the jets and watching them right from my backyard.
God Bless America!

A gift for my daughters on Mother's Day

The last couple of years I have given my daughters a special gift from me on Mother's Day.  I call it "My Favorite Things".  Things I love and I share them with my daughters.

This year they got "Everything Good".  A good looking plant to put in their yards, good working spray for those hard to iron clothes and a small ice cream scoop for that good tasting cookie dough that was attached.  Yum!  I also included a book "To My Daughter"  with all those things that bring you happiness quoted and written down about how special each daughter is.

Then we had a BBQ and just hung out.  It was a beautiful day and everyone enjoyed being outside.
Thank you, it was a great day!
