Welcome to the Toponce Family's New Blog

I am so excited to start our own "Toponce Family" blog.  We have so many great friends we have made throughout the years, especially the last few years at the Young Single Adult Stake.  We hope this will be a way to keep in touch with all of you and update you with some of our special family moments.

We have been blessed as a family, truly!  We have three wonderful daughters who have strong testimonies of the gospel and a desire to follow the commandments.  Each daughter has married a wonderful man who honors his priesthood and strives to lead and direct his family by following the spirit.

Family, that is what it is all about.  So here is our family blog.  You will be able to share with us our biggest joys as well as some of our trials.  If we continue to follow God's plan for us we will all enjoy the blessings in store for us.  Sometimes it is those small simple blessings that have the greatest impact on our lives.  So . . . enjoy and keep in touch!

Tiffany & Robert Green

Tiffany and Rob were married on January 14, 2005 in the Bountiful Temple.  Unlike most January days it was sunny and around 50 degrees. Tiffany was our first to get married.  It was a new and wonderful experience for all of us.  Rob has fit right in and been the highlight of most of our funny moments.

Tiffany is lucky to be a BUSY stay at home mom.  She is a wonderful mother.  Landen and Carter are lucky to have her as their mom.  She is tender and loving.  They both love their mother dearly.

Rob is continuing his education in the nursing program.  He is currently in the Bachelor of Nursing program at Weber State University.  After completing the program they are planning on him going on to specialize and get his Masters Degree.  It has been a long road but Tiffany and Rob just keep plowing through it.
They are the proud parents of two Wonderful Boys!  Landen Robert Green and Carter Isaac Green, our grandchildren :-)  It is great to see our family grow.

Big Guy Landen Green

Landen Green was born on May 3, 2008.  During the only 12 hours in the entire year that his grandpa and grandma Toponce couldn't be there.  We were with his Aunt Michelle who was graduating from Snow College.  We got up to the minute information from his Aunt Kristen, who had her ear pressed up against the door so she could text us with everything she could hear.  Our very first picture of our grandson was a phone picture.  He was beautiful!
Landen loves playing in the water and grandpa is right there with him.  Everyone gets wet!
Two weeks after Landen's 2nd Birthday he became a big brother.  He has been everything a big brother should be.  He looks out for Carter and makes sure his needs are taken care of.  I am sure they will be great buddies as they grow up.
Landen loves trains.  Fortunately there is a kiddy train running at the Newgate Mall.  Recently grandma and grandpa took him there to take a ride.  I am sure we will be going again soon.

He is taking after his dad at a young age.  Just before Christmas he got his very first real guitar.  He loves music and almost has perfect tempo.  He will be by himself just jamm'n out.  Toe tapping and belting out the song of his choice.  Being a grandparent is the best!!!!

Our Little Carter Green

Carter Green was born May 24, 2010.  Our sweet Carter was born with a double cleft lip and a double cleft palet.  Fortunately, Tiffany and Rob knew in advance and already had a plan underway for his upcoming surgerys.

This is Tiffany and Carter just before going back to surgery on October 12th.  He had been wearing a retainer and tape to pull his lips together to lighten the tention on the stitches for his new lip.  Tiffany is all smiles but we were all very nervous.

Here is our little guy just after surgery.  The first comment I made was how much he looked like his older brother Landen.  It is amazing the difference it made.  The stitches around the nose were cuts made to release some tissue so his nose would not be drawn down as the lip was repaired.  He really does look very good, there was very little bruising.
Carter is doing fabulous now days.  You can still see some of the scar but as you can see the healing is going really well.  Also our little guy is growing up.  His mother is not sure if she is ready for him to be mobile.  However, as the picture shows he is not far off.  He is so cute and such a sweet baby.

He is scheduled to have his next surgery in February.  This surgery will repair his palet.  Right now he is wearing a removable retainer held in with fixadent.  Ya that stuff that old people use to hold their dentures in, funny. The retainer will prevent his palet from shifting before his surgery.

Kristen & Zach Warr

Kristen & Zach were married July 18, 2009 in the Salt Lake Temple.  Zach has been a great addition to the family.  He is the perfect match for our daughter!

Kristen graduated from Cosmetology School in 2008 and has a salon in her home.  She enjoys doing that part-time and she works full-time for Ogden Clinic at the Mountain View Branch.

Zach graduated from Weber State University in May, 2010, with a Masters Degree in Accounting and works at Hill Air Force Base.

They are planning on building their first home in Plain City.  Plans are underway to start digging in the Spring of 2011.  We are so excited for them!

It's a Baby!

Kristen & Zach are expecting their first baby in June.  Crazy, another birthday in June.  We already have several including Father's Day.  We are so excited.  Zach is planning on a boy so we are pretty sure it is going to be a girl.  Ha ha , we will see.  CONGRATS! Kristen & Zach.

Michelle & Braden Brklacich

Michelle is our youngest daughter.  Michelle and Braden were married in the Logan Temple on March 13, 2010.  Michelle graduated from Utah State University, Magna Cum Laude on May 9, 2010.  Braden is continuing his eduation at Utah State and plans on graduating in 2011, pre med.

Michelle is currently working at "Love To Cook" Kitchen Kneads in Logan.  Not her preferred job but she is loving it and learning soooo much.

Braden has brought alot of joy and laughter to our family and quickly became Landen's favorite.  Braden has an internship at the Space Lab located just off campus and doing volunteer hours in the OR at Logan Regional Hospital.  He is very much enjoying that.
